French Concession Region

The French Concession is the area of Shanghai once designated for the French, and remains one of the city’s most celebrated strips.  Visitors can easily spend hours wandering the narrow alleyways, recovering in one of the many cafes, or breezing through the endless art galleries and photography studios.  Lying within the Luwan and Xuhui Districts, it is not well marked, so a little hard to find, but the extra effort of finding it will certainly be well rewarded.
