Beijing

Visit the Great Wall at Badaling.  On the way back, visit the Ming Tombs

Here is your chance to climb the Badaling Great Wall of China!  Built 2600 years ago, it is one of the two man-made structures seen by the naked eye of USastronaut Neil Armstrong from outer space.  Later visit the Ming Tombs, the burial place of thirteen emperors and their families of the Ming Dynasty.  Year-long excavations have uncovered many rare treasures such as the gold royal crowns and the silk robes. 

Beijing

Visit the Tiananmen Square, the Forbidden City and the Summer Palace.  
Beijing served as the capital for 5 dynasties over a period of 800 years with each emperor identified as a dragon sent from heaven. The Forbidden City, until recently opened only to the emperors family. This complex, the largest imperial palace ever built in the world, features more than 800 buildings with over 9,000 rooms, resplendent golden- glazed roofs, red lacquered pillars and vermilion walls.  See the high-walled "Inner City" with its government buildings.  Next stop is the Summer Palace, built in classical Chinese style in 1750 as a royal recreational resort.  Among its famous features are the 700-meter-long corridor with its wonderful Painted Gallery, the Marble Barge, and several magnificently painted pavilions and pagodas. 

Chongqing

In the morning, take a flight to Chongqing, the big city by the side of Yangtze. visit the Chongqing Museum Stay overnight on the deluxe cruise boat.

The Chongqing Museum is situated opposite the Chongqing Peoples Hall.  It is not only the largest monographic museum, but is also a public undertaking for the preservation, education, scientific research in respect of cultural relics and the natural environment of Chongqing and the Three Gorges area. 

Yangtze River

At 8:00 in the morning, the boat starts down the Yangtze.  In the afternoon, visit Fengdu, the Ghost City.
Having a history of nearly 2,000 years, Fengdu Countyhas formed a special culture of ghosts and the afterlife.  Well known as the resting place of the spirit of the dead, Fengdu is now the most characteristic and reputed historic and cultural town in China.  Tourist resorts in Fengdu are abundant.  Both the natural beauty and historic relics are immediately available to all tourists.

Yangtze River

Visit Badong and take a small junk along the Shennong Stream to enjoy the marvelous spectacles of the nature.
On the border between Wu Gorge and Xiling Gorge is the Shennong Stream.  Taking its rise from the main peak of Shennong Jia (the first peak in the center of China) and flowing through BadongCounty, it ultimately flows into the Yangtze River via the Wu Gorge.  Cruising along the stream by boat, visitors will become immersed in the wonders of zigzagging watercourses, the primitive environment, and the canzonet by the boat tracker, and the mysterious culture along the banks.

Yichang/Shanghai

Continue down Yangtze, in the morning, visit the Three Gorges Dam. Arrive Yichang, then fly to Shanghai.
The project of Three Gorges Dam is made up of the construction of the main structure and the diversion construction.  Being a concrete gravity dam, it has a 3035-meter-long top and a storage capacity of 39.3 billion cubic meters.  The 26 generator equipped on the dam can produce 84.9 billion Kw of electricity per year and the shipping capacity has been improved from ten million tons to fifty million tons, which brings a cost reduction of 35% of the original.

Shanghai

Visit the TV Tower of OrientalPearl, the Jade Buddha Temple and the Bund.  T

Jade Buddha Temple, an old temple, was built to keep two jade Buddha statues which had been brought from Burmaby a monk named Huigen.  The temple was destroyed during the revolution that overthrew the Qing Dynasty.  Fortunately the Jade Buddha statues were saved and a new temple was built on the present site in 1928.

As a landmark of Shanghai, the Bund is a must see sight for visitors who come to Shanghai.  It locates at the bank of Huangpu River in the Shanghaicenter. In 1840, Shanghaibecame the leased territory of foreign countries.  From then on, the Bund has become the center of external trade.  Many banks and department stores were built here.  So the Bund becomes the finance street of Shanghai.  And the Bund is also called the Oriental Wall Street.
