Nanjing Road, the earliest and most prosperous shopping street in Shanghai dating back to the 1840s. Standing across the Huangpu River from the Bund, the Oriental Pearl TV Tower is a landmark of Shanghai. There you will take a bird’s eye view of Shanghai from a floor more than 200 meters up.
Yu Garden is a famous classical garden located in Anren Jie, Shanghai. The garden was finished in 1577 by a government officer of the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) named Pan Yunduan. Yu in Chinese means pleasing and satisfying, and this garden was specially built for Pans parents as a place for them to enjoy tranquil and happy time in their old age.
Reputed as one the best museum in China, the Shanghai Museum is a museum of Chinese ancient art with a collection of 120,000 precious Chinese works of art and archaeological findings. Shanghai Museum has 11 state-of-the-art galleries and three special exhibition halls arranged on four floors, all encircling a spacious cylindrical atrium. Many foreign visitors to the museum often rank it as Shanghais very best site.
